Subscription commerce platform Memebox has launched a new mask pack box and is also gearing up to go mobile with an upcoming app.
Mememask Box offers four types of masks from popular cosmetics brand Sampar as the seasons change and skin becomes easily irritated. The new box is available from the Memebox website for 9,500won and provides users with a nearly 80% discount on Sampar mask packs.
Last year’s “Get it beauty” box proved a hit in November with the inclusion of Sampar URBANlab’s “express” and “intense calming” masks. Sampar is a well known brand from France with 29 years in the business and can be found in cosmetic outlets, as well as department stores and hotel spas in 16 countries around the world.
Earlier this month Memebox also introduced its subscription service and pitched its upcoming mobile app to an audience of international investors and media from the startup community at Sparklab’s first Demo Day. CEO of the company Dino Ha said, “We have been looking for the next breakthrough and we strongly believe that mobile is the next step.”
Until now, Memebox’s commerce services have only been available via its website, making it awkward for mobile users to purchase products. By introducing a “single touch commerce” service, Memebox plans to make shopping for new products via the app easier than using the website. Using subscribers’ preferences, new products are recommended through SMS message, with a link to the product.
however, through the launch of ‘Single Touch Commerce’, it allows consumers get access to mobile purchase. Based on the analysis of consumer’s previous purchase history, Single Touch Commerce will help consumers to buy product that is recommended by their preference of cosmetic products.
While there is still no set date for the app launch, it is expected to be released within the next couple of months.
