Early stage venture capital company BonAngels has announced an investment of 200 million won in software developer Wit Studio.
Wit Studio was founded in early 2010 by CEO and developer Dae-wook Kim with director and designer Eun Seok Chae. The company previously received investment from incubator Primer to develop its flagship product Codinator.
The first version of Codinator, the company’s graphical user interface (GUI) design program was released in May 2011. The software aims make the process of designing interfaces for apps easier and cheaper for those unfamiliar with coding and design concepts. Codinator 2.0 is currently undergoing closed beta testing and will offer support for various platforms including iOS, Android and WIndows Phone.
BonAngels’ CEO Byeon-gyu Jang commented on the investment saying, “We decided to invest not only based on the possibility of the market, but also the team’s skills in development and quick execution. As a more experienced venture company and not just simply as investors, we will act as partners to actively support the service’s safe arrival in global markets.”
In addition to this, Wit Studio also received a combined investment of 100 million won from UT/US consulting company PXD and independent design agency Kobalt60.
