2024년 매쉬업벤처스는 25개 기업에 총 75억 원을 투자하며 연간 투자규모 최대치를 경신했다. 투자 비중은 AI 분야가 54%, SaaS 분야가 33%로, 소프트웨어 중심의 초기 스타트업에 집중 투자했다. 매쉬업벤처스는 투자 이후에도 체계적인 후속 지원을 제공하는 점에서 강점을 지닌 투자사로 알려져 있다.
특히, 매쉬업벤처스가 투자한 기업들은 눈에 띄는 글로벌 성과를 올렸다. AI 버추얼 프로덕션 플랫폼인 ‘비블’은 미국의 딥테크 전문 투자사인 베이시스 셋 벤처스와 피카 벤처스로부터 475만 달러(약 65억 원)의 시드 투자를 유치했다. 비블은 할리우드 제작사 및 영상 AI 기업 등 주요 고객을 확보하며 미국 시장 진출을 본격화하고 있다.
또한, 생성형 AI 웹툰 제작기업 ‘라이언로켓’은 독자적인 이미지 생성형 AI 기술인 ‘젠버스’를 바탕으로 제작한 웹툰이 국내 주요 플랫폼에서 상위 10위권에 진입하는 성과를 달성했다. 라이언로켓은 2024년 일본과 미국 등 해외 시장으로 본격적인 진출을 계획하고 있다.
매쉬업벤처스는 팁스 10주년 기념 유공표창에서 우수 운영사로 인정받아 중소벤처기업부장관상을 수상했다. 지난해 매쉬업벤처스는 팁스에 13개사, 딥테크팁스에 2개사를 추천해 최종 선정됐으며, 추천 기업의 팁스 선정률은 100%에 달했다. 또한, 매쉬업벤처스 추천으로 팁스 프로그램에 선정된 인도 K-뷰티 플랫폼 ‘블리몽키즈’는 2024년 연 매출 약 2,300만 달러(약 330억 원)를 달성하는 성과를 거뒀다.
