웨이센은 오는 27일부터 30일까지 두바이에서 개최되는 ‘아랍헬스 2025’에 참가한다고 밝혔다.
이번 전시에서 웨이센은 인공지능 기반 위/대장 내시경 소프트웨어인 ‘웨이메드 엔도(WAYMED ENDO)’를 선보인다. 이 소프트웨어는 위/대장 내시경 장비와 연동되어 실시간으로 내시경 영상을 분석하고, 위와 대장 내의 이상 병변을 빠르고 정확하게 감지하는 기능을 갖추고 있다. 특히, 내시경 검진을 보조하여 사각지대나 미세한 병변을 놓치지 않도록 돕는 것이 큰 강점으로, 국내외 병원들에서 빠르게 도입되고 있다.
웨이센은 이번 전시를 통해 중동시장 협력 파트너사와 적극적으로 미팅을 진행하며, 중동 지역 사업 확대를 위한 방안을 모색할 예정이다. 또한, 중동 지역의 병원 관계자 및 글로벌 의료기업 리더들과 만나 ‘웨이메드 엔도’의 전략적 협력 방안을 논의할 계획이다. 웨이센은 이미 지난 아랍헬스 전시에서 사우디아라비아의 의료전문기업 ‘메가마인드’와 전략적 판매 계약을 체결했다.
중동 지역, 특히 UAE는 위산 역류, 궤양성 대장염 등 소화기 질환을 앓고 있는 인구가 많고, 전체 암 중 대장암의 유병률이 두 번째로 높다. 이에 따라 위/대장 내시경 검사에 대한 수요가 급증하고 있다. 웨이센은 2023년부터 UAE 최초의 현지 병원에 ‘웨이메드 엔도’를 설치하고 운영 중에 있으며, 현지 의료진의 피드백을 통해 UAE 의료 환경에 맞는 의료 AI 소프트웨어로 임상적 유효성을 확보하고 있다.
한편, 아랍헬스는 올해 50주년을 맞이하며 더욱 큰 기대를 모은다. 매년 6만 명 이상의 병원 관계자와 바이어들이 참여해 최신 의료 기술 동향을 공유하고, 사업 정보를 나누는 자리다.

Weissen participates in ‘Arab Health 2025’

Weysen has already signed a strategic sales contract with Saudi Arabian medical company 'Megamind' at the last Arab Health exhibition.
The Middle East, especially the UAE, has a large population suffering from digestive diseases such as acid reflux and ulcerative colitis, and the prevalence of colon cancer is the second highest among all cancers. Accordingly, the demand for gastrointestinal/colonoscopy examinations is rapidly increasing. Weysen has been installing and operating 'WayMed Endo' in the first local hospital in the UAE since 2023, and is securing clinical effectiveness as a medical AI software suitable for the UAE medical environment through feedback from local medical staff.
