투자 전문 액셀러레이터 씨엔티테크(대표 전화성)가 결성한 ‘아이비케이(IBK)창공 비상2호 투자조합’에서 액상 항균·항바이러스·항곰팡 기능을 부여하는 소재 기술을 개발해 제품을 제공하는 트윈위즈 주식회사(대표 김창수)에 투자한다. 투자금액은 비공개이다.
트윈위즈는 2022년 재료 연구소기업으로 창업해, 액상 항균·항바이러스·항곰팡이 소재 전문기업으로 성장했다. 다양한 산업과 일상에 사용되는 제품에 색상·외관·물성의 변화 없이 항균·항바이러스·항곰팡이 기능을 부여하는 소재 기술을 개발해 제품화해 성공한 바 있다. 또한, 추가 공정과 설비 없이도 본 기술을 적용할 수 있어 고객사의 편의와 빠른 부가가치 창출이 가능하다는 점도 ㈜트윈위즈만의 장점이다. 지난해 10월 사업장을 확장 이전하면서 기업 성장의 발판 또한 마련했다.
한편, ㈜트윈위즈 김창수 대표는 “최근 세계적 첨단재료 기업인 도레이첨단소재와 조광페인트 등에 공급계약을 하며 ㈜트윈위즈가 가진 기술력의 우수성을 입증한 바 있다”며 “이번 투자유치를 기반으로 독보적인 항균 소재 기업으로서의 경쟁력을 더욱 강화해 세계 시장에서 인정받는 소재 기업으로 도약하겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.
이번 투자 유치와 관련해 씨엔티테크 전화성 대표는 “(주)트윈위즈의 혁신적인 소재 기술이 포스트 코로나, 기후변화, 고령화 시대와 같은 미래 시장에서 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 판단했다”며 “소부장 산업에서 더욱 의미 있는 가치를 창출할 것을 기대한다”고 말했다.
