공간정보 통합 솔루션 기업 ㈜웨이버스(대표이사 김학성∙박창훈)는 25일 김학성 대표이사가 한국공간정보산업협동조합 제11대 이사장으로 선출됐다고 밝혔다.
이날 열린 한국공간정보산업협동조합 정기총회에서 신임 이사장으로 당선된 김학성 대표는 향후 4년간 조합을 이끌어 가게 된다. 그는 공간정보산업 분야 유일의 코스닥 상장기업인 웨이버스를 창업한 지 21년 만에 업계에서의 신뢰와 리더십을 다시 한번 증명하며 조합의 수장으로 발돋움했다.
김학성 신임 이사장은 국내외 공간정보산업의 협력과 교류를 강화하고, 조합원 기업들의 경쟁력을 높이는 데 집중한다. 특히 ▲디지털 전환을 통한 공간정보 활용성 확대 ▲정부 및 공공기관과의 협력을 통한 제도 개선 ▲해외사업 수원국 담당자 대상 역량 강화 교육 ▲이사회를 통한 투명한 의사결정 ▲지속 가능한 조합 재정 역량 확충을 통한 조합 활성화에 주력할 예정이다.

이어 “공간정보 기술의 혁신을 통해 4차 산업혁명 시대의 디지털 경제에서 공간정보산업이 핵심적인 역할을 할 수 있도록 조합을 이끌겠다”며 “조합원 기업들의 현장 목소리를 경청하고 실질적인 지원 방안을 마련해 실효성 있는 조합 운영을 약속할 것”이라고 덧붙였다.
한편, 한국공간정보산업협동조합은 145개 회원사 간 협력을 통해 공간정보산업의 발전을 도모하는 중소기업협동조합 사업주 단체다. 최근 공간정보산업이 국가 주요 성장 동력으로 주목받는 시점에서, 이번 신임 이사장 선출은 조합의 역할을 한층 강화할 전환점이 될 것으로 보인다.

Kim Hak-seong, CEO of Wavers, takes office as Chairman of the Korea Spatial Information Industry Cooperative
Waybus Co., Ltd. (CEOs Hak-seong Kim and Chang-hoon Park) , a spatial information integrated solution company, announced on the 25th that CEO Hak-seong Kim was elected as the 11th Chairman of the Korea Spatial Information Industry Cooperative.
Kim Hak-seong, who was elected as the new chairman at the regular general meeting of the Korea Spatial Information Industry Cooperative held on this day, will lead the cooperative for the next four years. He has proven his trust and leadership in the industry once again after 21 years since founding Waybus, the only KOSDAQ-listed company in the spatial information industry, and has stepped up to become the head of the cooperative.

He continued, “I will lead the association so that the spatial information industry can play a key role in the digital economy of the 4th Industrial Revolution era through innovation in spatial information technology,” adding, “I promise to operate the association effectively by listening to the voices of the association member companies on the ground and devising practical support measures.”
Meanwhile, the Korea Spatial Information Industry Cooperative is a small and medium-sized business cooperative business owner group that promotes the development of the spatial information industry through cooperation among 145 member companies. At a time when the spatial information industry is recently attracting attention as a major national growth engine, the election of this new chairman is expected to be a turning point that will further strengthen the role of the cooperative.

一方、韓国空間情報産業協同組合は、１４５社の会員社間協力を通じて空間情報産業の発展を図る中小企業協同組合事業主団体だ。最近、空間情報産業が国家主な成長動力として注目される時点で、今回の新任理事長選出は組合の役割を一層強化する転換点になると見られる。

À l’heure où l’industrie de l’information spatiale suscite l’attention en tant que moteur majeur de croissance nationale, l’élection du nouveau PDG devrait constituer un tournant qui renforcera encore davantage le rôle de l’association.
