시리즈벤처스와 서울대학교기술지주가 공동운용(Co-GP) 형태로 ‘부산 미래성장 벤처펀드 2024’ 지역리그 VC 분야 운용사로 최종 선정됐다. 두 기관은 28일 오후 부산 KDB산업은행에서 ‘부산지역혁신 티브스 투자조합 1호’ 결성총회를 개최하였으며, 해당 펀드를 통해 부산 지역 스타트업과 벤처기업 육성에 본격적으로 나설 예정이다.
이번 선정은 부산광역시와 한국벤처투자(KVIC)가 지역 기반 벤처 투자 활성화를 위해 추진한 ‘부산 미래성장 벤처펀드 2024’ 출자사업의 일환이다. 특히, 이번 펀드는 중소벤처기업부, 부산시, KDB산업은행, BNK금융지주 등으로 결성한 모태펀드 ‘부산 미래성장 벤처펀드’를 활용해 조성된 점에서 의미가 크다.
시리즈벤처스는 부산을 기반으로 활동하는 대표적인 액셀러레이터(AC)로, 초기 스타트업 발굴과 투자에 강점을 가지고 있다. 반면, 서울대학교기술지주는 대학 연구 성과의 사업화를 주도하는 기술지주회사로, 기술 기반 스타트업의 성장 지원에 특화되어 있다. 이번 협력으로 부산 지역의 혁신 기술 기업과 대학 기술 기반 스타트업이 동시에 성장할 수 있는 투자 구조를 마련할 것으로 기대된다.
시리즈벤처스 관계자는 “이번 펀드는 단순한 투자 지원을 넘어, 부산 지역의 창업 생태계를 글로벌 수준으로 끌어올리는 데 중요한 역할을 할 것”이라며 “유망 기업을 발굴하고, 지속적인 후속 투자까지 이어질 수 있도록 적극적으로 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
서울대기술지주 측도 “대학이 보유한 기술이 실질적인 산업적 가치로 이어질 수 있도록 기술 창업과 연구 성과 사업화 지원을 아끼지 않을 것”이라며 “이번 펀드를 통해 부산을 기술 기반 스타트업 허브로 성장시키는 데 기여할 계획”이라고 말했다.
시리즈벤처스와 서울대기술지주는 기술 창업과 초기 스타트업 성장을 동시에 지원하는 전략을 통해, 지역 벤처 생태계를 한 단계 발전시키는 데 주력할 예정이다.

Series Ventures and Seoul National University Technology Holdings were finally selected as the regional league VC management companies for the 'Busan Future Growth Venture Fund 2024' in the form of a joint management (Co-GP). A Series Ventures official said, “This fund will go beyond simple investment support and play an important role in elevating the Busan region’s startup ecosystem to a global level,” adding, “We will actively support the discovery of promising companies and continue to provide follow-up investment.”
Seoul National University Technology Holdings also said, “We will not spare support for technology startups and commercialization of research results so that the technology owned by the university can lead to actual industrial value,” adding, “Through this fund, we plan to contribute to the growth of Busan as a technology-based startup hub.”
Series Ventures and Seoul National University Technology Holdings will focus on advancing the local venture ecosystem to the next level through a strategy of simultaneously supporting technology startups and early-stage startup growth.

シリーズベンチャーズとソウル大技術支柱は、技術創業と初期スタートアップ成長を同時に支援する戦略を通じて、地域ベンチャーエコシステムを一段階発展させることに注力する予定だ。

Series Ventures et Seoul National University Technology Holdings se concentreront sur l'avancement de l'écosystème local du capital-risque au niveau supérieur grâce à une stratégie de soutien simultané aux startups technologiques et à la croissance des startups en phase de démarrage.
