임플란트 기반 덴탈·메디칼 솔루션 기업 ㈜덴티스(대표이사 심기봉)가 자체 개발한 공진주파수분석법(RFA) 치과 임플란트 고정도 측정기 ‘ChecQ(첵큐)’가 미국 식품의약국(FDA)으로부터 판매 허가를 획득했다.
치과 임플란트 고정도 측정기는 임플란트 골유착 및 고정력 정도를 손쉽게 측정하는 데 사용된다. 측정 방식은 크게 타진하는 방식과 RFA 방식으로 나뉘는데, RFA 방식은 타진 강도에 다른 안정성 및 오차 발생 문제를 보완할 수 있는 차세대 기술이다. 덴티스 의료기기연구소는 자체 기술력으로 세계적으로 세 번째이자 국내 최초로 RFA 방식이 적용된 치과 임플란트 고정도 측정기를 개발하는 데 성공했다.
덴티스의 첵큐는 지난해 7월 출시 후 국내 시장에서 큰 관심을 받았으며, 이번 FDA 허가를 계기로 글로벌 시장 진출에 속도가 붙을 전망이다. 현재 회사는 첵큐에 대해 유럽 CE MDR도 준비하고 있다.
덴티스는 올해 상반기 내 첵큐를 비롯해 ▲치과 유니트 체어 ‘루비스체어(LUVIS CHAIR) ▲무통 마취기 ‘데놉스(DENOPS)’ ▲국내 최초 포터블 골내 마취기 ‘데놉스–아이(DENOPS-I) 등 덴티스의 주력이자 핵심 치과장비들의 연이은 CE-MDR 인증을 준비하고 있으며, 상반기 모든 준비를 마치는 데로 하반기 글로벌 시장 성장세를 더욱 키우겠다는 전략이다.
덴티스 관계자는 “지난해부터 주요 신제품들의 FDA와 CE 등 해외 허가 및 승인을 통해 덴티스의 우수한 기술력을 글로벌 시장에서 인정받고 있다”며 “올해도 첵큐를 시작으로 글로벌 시장 확대를 위한 준비 작업을 성공적으로 추진하면서 미국과 인도 등의 해외 법인의 공격적인 영업전략으로 실적 성장을 이룰 것”이라고 말했다.
한편 덴티스는 미국, 중국, 스페인, 포르투갈, 말레이시아, 인도에 이어 태국, 베트남, 일본, 폴란드 등 신규 법인 설립 예고하면서 글로벌 신성장을 주도할 해외 영업 네트워크 강화에 집중하고 있다. 주력 신제품들의 연이은 해외 인허가와 법인들을 통한 적극적인 영업 활동으로 회사의 글로벌 성장력이 강화될 전망이다.
