화질 고도화 AI 모델 ‘픽셀(PIXELL)’을 활용해 솔루션 비즈니스를 본격화하는 포바이포가 미국 법인을 새롭게 설립하며 해외 사업에 속도를 낸다.
콘텐츠 AI 솔루션 기업 포바이포(4BY4, 대표: 윤준호)는 지난 12월 ‘4BY4 Solutions Inc’라는 이름으로 미국 법인을 설립했다고 26일 밝혔다.
포바이포는 법인을 설립한 목적으로 ▲ 고객 발굴 및 시장 개척을 위한 영업 활동 거점 마련 ▲AWS 파트너 패스 활동 등 미국 내 기업과의 원활한 협업 등을 꼽았다.
포바이포가 자체 개발한 화질 고도화 AI 솔루션 ‘픽셀’은 글로벌 방송사와 OTT, 할리우드 스튜디오, 제작사, 포스트 프로덕션 등 미국 내 위치한 다양한 글로벌 콘텐츠 기업들을 잠재 고객군으로 하고 있다.
더불어 픽셀 솔루션은 선명한 화질은 그대로 유지하면서 시간 당 전송하는 데이터의 양(비트레이트, Bitrate)’는 50% 이상 절감할 수 있어 콘텐츠 스트리밍 업체, 온라인 교육업체 등에서도 큰 관심을 보이고 있다.
특히 지난 해 인도네시아 온라인 교육기업 ‘짜깝(Cakap)’과의 성공적인 협업 이후 글로벌 에듀테크(교육 기술 관련) 기업들을 대상으로 더욱 공격적인 영업 활동을 벌이고 있는 포바이포는 인공지능 학습자료를 빠르게 적용하고 있는 미국 내 일부 온라인 교육 업체들을 대상으로도 다양한 영업 및 홍보 활동을 계획하고 있다.
포바이포 픽셀사업본부 배성완 본부장은 “픽셀 솔루션 제품, 특히 온프레미스 방식 하드웨어 제품을 판매할 수 있는 최대 시장은 단연 미국”이라며 “이미 다양한 협업 및 계약 논의가 오가고 있는 만큼 이번 미국 법인 설립은 포바이포의 본격적인 글로벌 비즈니스 분수령이 될 것”이라고 설명했다.

« Le plus grand marché pour la vente de produits Pixel Solution, en particulier de produits matériels sur site, est de loin les États-Unis », a déclaré Bae Sung-wan, responsable de la division Pixel Business chez Fourbyfour. « Avec diverses collaborations et discussions contractuelles déjà en cours, la création de cette société américaine sera un tournant pour les activités mondiales de Fourbyfour. »
