드론 AI 선도 기업 니어스랩(대표 최재혁)이 김동현 전 모카시스템 대표를 신임 부사장으로 영입했다.
김 부사장은 카네기멜론대학교에서 기계공학을 전공하고, 스탠포드대학교에서 산업공학 석사학위를 취득한 후 보잉, 모토롤라, LG전자 등 글로벌 기업에서 사업개발을 담당하며 주요 리더십 경험을 쌓아왔다. 최근에는 바이오 인식 원천 기술을 보유한 슈프리마의 자회사 모카시스템의 CEO로 재직하며 모바일 및 클라우드 기반 물리 보안 솔루션 혁신을 주도했다.
B2B 엔터프라이즈 솔루션 및 물리 보안 분야에서 오랜 경험을 쌓아온 김 부사장은 니어스랩의 기존 핵심 사업인 국방, 보안, 점검사업을 강화하는 동시에 AI 기반 드론 솔루션을 다양한 B2B 엔터프라이즈 시장에 접목해 새로운 시장 기회를 창출할 계획이다. 특히 미국과 동남아시아 지역에서의 파트너십 강화로 해외 방산 시장뿐만 아니라 B2B 엔터프라이즈 분야에서도 차별화된된 비즈니스 모델을 구축해 나갈 계획이다.

Nears Labs (CEO Choi Jae-hyeok), a leading drone AI company, has hired former Mocha System CEO Kim Dong-hyun as its new vice president.
Vice President Kim majored in mechanical engineering at Carnegie Mellon University and earned a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Stanford University. He has accumulated key leadership experience while working in business development at global companies such as Boeing, Motorola, and LG Electronics. In particular, by strengthening partnerships in the U.S. and Southeast Asia, he plans to build a differentiated business model not only in the overseas defense market but also in the B2B enterprise sector.
Nearslab is providing integrated AI drone solutions that combine hardware and software, with AI-based autonomous flight, swarm flight control, and unmanned operation technologies as its core competitiveness. Nearslab, which has been recognized for its differentiated autonomous flight software technology in the industrial safety inspection market, plans to further strengthen its position in the global market under Vice President Kim’s leadership.
