We are opening jobs for accelerators residing in UK, who will be dedicated to the “Global Accelerating Support Project in 2020” to support the (prospective) startups in preparation for overseas expansion.

Overview
(Purpose) To recruit UK accelerators to check the possibility of Korean startups’ entering the UK market and to shape their plans
(Recruitment target) Accelerators in London, UK
(Recruitment period) From (Mon) June 8, 2020 to 18:00 (Thu) June 25, 2020 (based on Korean time)
(Selection size) 1 accelerator
(Main duties) Operate a 6-week local fostering program to check the possibility of Korean startups’ entering the UK market and to shape their plans
(Program expense) Max. KRW12,000,000 (per company)
Requirements and Roles
(Recruitment target) Accelerators in London, UK
(Requirement for the operation) At least two selected accelerating experts shall manage Korean startups and organize and operate the global accelerating program.
Key roles
– Provide a local fostering program to start-up companies in the early stage of overseas expansion to check the possibility of entering the UK market and to shape their plans.
– Make evaluation of documents and presentation for selection of (prospective) start-up companies
– Operate and participate in the'Global Target Workshop' to assist selected startups in setting targets of entering the UK markets and establishing detailed implementation plans to achieve their goals*
* Run the local fostering program in Korea by visiting Korea three weeks before the program starts. However, if it is difficult to visit Korea owing to COVID19, proceed with the program online.

– Design, operate and support the 6-week fostering program consisting of market research, mentoring for item localization, one-on-one business meetings, demo days, etc.
– Submit weekly reports on startup team fostering status and progress of the program, and the final outcome report after completion of the project

Selection method
– Selection of an accelerator with excellent fostering capability after comprehensive review of individual accelerator introduction, program proposal, etc.
Evaluation items
– Comprehensive evaluation on excellence and specificity of local accelerator programs, mentor and network pools, start-up company management plans, follow-up support, program operation expense, etc.

* If any false or unconfirmed information is found during or even after the selection evaluation process, the applicants may be excluded from the evaluation process or the selection may be withdrawn.
* The finally selected companies shall faithfully respond to the requests for data submission, inspection, etc. made by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Manager Institution.
* The finally selected accelerator shall faithfully respond to the necessary requests for data submission, etc. made by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Manager Institution for 5 years from the year following the end of the contract.
