Styleket, the startup behind the fashion commerce service LibreMarket, has received a 750 million won Series A investment from Central Investment Partners, SYL Company, and Vision Creator.
LibreMarket is an e-commerce app that allows you to purchase items such as clothing, and accessories from photos on social media by matching the images to shopping mall data through deep learning. Styleket has managed to secure the funding before even officially opening its service.
“Styleket’s practical application of deep-learning technology to business isn’t common for a startup. We invested based on the company’s development capability and extensive experience.” said Park Young-chan, director of Central Investment Partners which led the investment.
“By connecting mobile services with influencers using artificial intelligence image recognition technology, we hope to not only enter the Korean market but also have the chance to be successful in the Chinese market,” said Vision Creator CEO Perry Jung.
Styleket is also planning to take its platform to other countries in the future and hopes to use it to promote Korean or “Hallyu” content.
