Data startup Ab180 has received 1.5 billion won (USD $1.3m) in investment from GS Home Shopping for its mobile marketing analytics app ‘Airbridge’.
Ab180 produces performance analysis reports for app developers and marketers by collecting and processing behavioral data from mobile users in real time.
The startup was founded in July 2015, and received seed funding from Futureplay just three months later. Last year, Ab180 was also selected for the TIPS program and released Airbridge in June 2016. Since then, it has been analyzing user behavior through 230 clients including Gmarket and Auction, on over 20 million devices that have the SDK installed.
Lee Ju-bong, spokesperson for GS Home Shopping said, “When comparing Ab180’s leading technology from a team of young engineers to similar services, we can see that they are a team that will be competitive and grow fast in the customer behavior data marketing industry — an industry still in its early stages.”
“Ab180 specializes in cross platform matching technology that can collect data through mobile ads across the web, apps, mobile, and desktop.” says Ab180 CEO Sungpil Nam. “Through this latest investment we will quickly improve our service to become more customer-focused, and aim to hire more staff. We will also work to become a company that makes distributed performance analysis possible for a new paradigm in intelligence marketing. “
