A new founder/talent matching platform – Gofounder – was launched last week. The service lets you search for other budding entrepreneurs and startup folk who are keen on starting or joining a project. Anyone can sign up easily, with no iPin or other nonsense required by many other Korean websites.
The startup, with six cofounders, decided to create Gofounder after experiencing trouble looking for team members themselves. Other founder and talent matching services are usually targeted at companies that have already established themselves to some degree, making it difficult for those in the very early stages. Experience in the industry is also often a requirement for many platforms.
Gofounder lets anyone start their own project, and search for potential partners or team members who might be inclined to join them. Likewise, people can search for projects that interest them and connect with founders or project leaders. Projects currently listed include educational games, 3D drone simulator and an event information service.
While the platform has just got off the ground, Gofounder plans to continue improving its services to help transform projects into successful ventures. This includes making changes to its recommendation system for better matches and connecting startups with other companies. In addition to this, a community feature will be added to help startups grow, and provide relevant information in partnership with startup media.
Gofounder CEO Ha Bong An says that anyone with interest in web-based services is free to start projects. “I look forward to small-scale Gofounder projects leading innovative change,” says Ha.
Gofounder is only available in Korean and can be accessed at gofounder.net.
