IoT startup Knowlege-seek & Company recently announced a combined investment from overseas VC firm Balancers, and VR addiction treatment company Meddiction.
The company has developed a solution called Phyctogram for measuring and tracking the growth of children more easily with smart height and weight measurement devices.
Balancers invested in Knowledge-seek & Company for its potential in the global market after it won four awards at the international intervention show INPEX, held in Pittsburgh, in June last year. Other investor – Meddiction – claims to be the world’s first virtual reality addiction treatment service and plans to collaborate and exchange technology with Knowledge-seek.
The comany’s product Phyctogram has two smart devices, scales and a stadiometer – more commonly known as a height rod. They’ve been designed to look fairly modern and not like something you would find in a doctor’s office. Both devices hook into an app to quickly measure height and weight.
The app automatically tracks measured data by providing progress updates and displaying info on a graph. You can view estimates for your child’s growth, and see how it compares to others of the same age. The app also recommends meals based on data, and includes useful information such as how to recognize if your child is beginning to enter puberty.
The latest investment will be used to boost product release and help establish an overseas network as the company plans to go global. Knowledge-seek & Company is currently based at Pangyo’s Startup Campus and is one of the selected startups for the government sponsored K-Global 300 program.
