Lululab, a startup spun off from Samsung C-Lap, won Germany’s iF Design Award in a communication category with its artificial intelligence skincare assistant, Lumini.
iF Design Award is hosted by a world-prestigious independent design institution, iF International Forum Design. For 2018 competition, around 6,400 items from 54 countries were submitted.
Lululab’s Lumini was selected as a winner in service design/UX. Lumini is a skincare solution whose artificial intelligence technology suggests best products to customers by capturing a face image in 10 seconds and analyzing facial skin.
“We applied artificial intelligence in beauty industry for the first time, in order to help anyone enjoy the development of beauty industry easily and conveniently,” said Yong-Joon Choi, President of Lululab. “I feel happy that Lumini was recognized for its ability to newly design consumers’ skincare experience.”
Lululab completed its global lunching in the world largest IT exhibition, CES2018, in January and is now operating its business in earnest.
