TrustUs, an operator of a restaurant reference platform Poing, attracted Pre-Series C investment worth 3.5 billion won from KDB Bank and Global Brain, a Japanese venture capital firm. This investment has been made since January, when several VC firms, including Naver, made Series B investment to the company. As a result, the accumulated investment amounts to 13 billion won.
Poing Membership, which started B2B service for restaurants this year, has stably provided services to more than 300 restaurants, including those in luxury hotels and the Michelin-Star restaurants. In addition, Poing Service, an online gourmet guide since 2014, has accumulated 220,000 online reservations and 44,000 reviews, sustaining a sharp growth as a number-one online restaurant media in Korea.
Beomjin Jeong, CEO of TrustUs, said, “this investment will allow us to advance Poing services as reliable gourmet restaurant reference services, and focus on expanding Poing Membership services that help restaurant businesses. As a result, we will take our services, as a food service group that understands the industry better than any business.
