K Cube Ventures declared on the 31st that they have invested 1.5 billion won in VR game company Playsnak.
Playsnak is a startup that develops VR games for PC, console, mobile, and other platforms.
Now Playsnak is preparing to publish its mobile games worldwide. Playsnak will focus on real filmed VR product development and release its first product in 2017.
Playsnak founder Paha Schulz said, “We focus on innovative VR game development to close the gap between Asia, including Korea, and North America and Europe, to grasp the attention of the western and eastern game industries and grow into a world-leading game company.
K Cube Ventures co-founder Shin Mingyun who leads this investment said, “Playsnak is a leading player in the VR industry that has gained rich operation experience from cooperating with big game companies in Korea and overseas. I hope they can take advantage of their innovative VR product development ability and global business development ability, and lead the next generation game market.
